A little of this... a little of that... crafting is my life

Hmmmmm so I guess I should start out by giving an overview of who, what, when, where and how!

The Who: Thats me! Stephanie. Ive been known by a lot of different names over the years. Ive been a Moore, then a Rose, a Master and now im a Jones. Yes. It took three tries to find Prince Charming. However he is more like a Redneck Romeo but in all the good ways.

Yep thats me on our wedding day. Predictive bathroom selfie right there at my moms. But it was the happiest day of my life.

We have a combined total of 6 fur kids. Four cat babies and 2 dog babies.

Doggos- Vixey Lou and Pork Chop - Vixey is a black mouth cur and porky is a Rat Chi Min pin lol

My wonderful Husband is Mike. His goal in life is to make fun of me at all times. But he's my better half. He is my protector, my best friend, my everything. We have been together 4 years in October and married 2 years in November.

Here he is learning how to sew. Isnt that manly!!!! He is going to kill me for this picture. But I love him and all he does for me and our family.

Basically, the what and why im doing this is because i enjoy sharing things I create. Or helping others. And i love to talk and write. So pretty simple.

Anywho - i hope you enjoy my post and posts to come. Drop me a line. Tell me what you want to see. Or what you enjoy doing. Or your favorite netflix binge watching show. Im down for whatever!

Happy Stitching xoxox

New Years resolutions

I always say I am going to do things- and never do them. This year I have made a few goals- goals sounds like a much better word to me.  One of the things is to write and post on here every day something i make, or things i find that i wanna share with someone. I wanted to start this on , you guessed it, Jan 1st lol but life just sucks lately.  So today im sharing one of my goals- which was to get out of my comfort zone and push myself craft wise. In other words sew the damn patterns i have been hoarding since 2002 lol. So i am. And finding new ones to hoard as i go.  Free patterns are the best. I couldnt find one for a wallet i wanted so i gave in and purchased one on etsy. The wallet is great- the person that wrote the pattern, not so great. sorry not sorry. It was not wrote well and I had to muddle through it to figure things out. But i did. ( I wont publicly list the shop etc if you can find it then good on you)  I used some of my stash of mickey fabric to ...

The one with the Messenger bag

Dear. Lord When I said this bag was going to be large I really mean it is going to be large. My husband thought it was a diaper bag.  Im actually working on the second one ( for a paid order) now. Its a pretty easy sew. Some oops and learning curves.  BUT with some adjustments it could be a great bag. One thing is if you are using cotton for both out and in I really do suggest you use a heavier interfacing on one side for more stability. I think she used a canvas on one side.  Here is the new one - Nightmare before Christmas for an order. Oh and this bag takes a lot of fabric. Not like yards but you will need a yard of each of your fabrics you use for in and out especially if you use it for pockets etc
